Do you trust your own word? Can you commit to change within yourself? Learn this start-somewhere-easy-meditation, Everything in moderation is great in the Nine Palaces, Find some balance and peace of mind. By Jaye McElroy and Leta Herman | Follow Us on: Facebook and Instagram “Self-cultivation isn’t just about meditating in the morning or working out. It’s about everything.”

“You should sit in meditation for 20 minutes every day, unless you’re too busy. Then you should sit for 1 hour.” — Zen Proverb

“Get some time with yourself… everyday.” The topic of this episode is YOU, every aspect of your life that needs attending to. The Nine Palaces are:

  • Career
  • Love/Relationship
  • Health
  • Wealth/Abundance
  • Home
  • Travel/Adventure
  • Children/Creativity
  • Wisdom
  • Prosperity
  • The Nine Palaces come from the legend of the Magic Square on the Tortoises’s back.
  • The Nine Palaces breaks it down so it’s easy for you to look at all these aspects of your life.
  • The Nine Palaces are about keeping awareness that you have all these aspects of your life.

Commitment

Commit to working on self-cultivation. Replace old habits with new habits. It means putting yourself first.

If you don’t want to do something everyday, pick something else you want to do everyday. Be committed to something. What about your self-integrity? Can you commit to yourself what you want to do. When you start to balance all of the Nine Palaces, you don’t want to over do or underdo any of them. Master Jeffrey Yuen said, “When you lack moderation, it taxes your Nine Palaces. Over consumption and over indulgences will tax and stress your Nine Palaces.” Find the path of greatest ease. You have created much more drama than there actually is. If you find the path of greatest ease, drop some breadcrumbs so you can find your way back. Put some time aside to meditate, start somewhere. In meditation, when you get a thought, don’t judge it. Ask yourself, “What is this thought, and where did it come from?” Thanks for listening to the podcast or reading this post! Jaye Leta
